THE SENIOR MANAGEMENT TEAM


The Chief Executive Officer  - Nick Dykes BA (Hons) MBA RMN FCMI

Nick previously worked as a Psychiatric Nurse in the Health Service, as a manager in Social Services (Cambridgeshire) and in a range of housing charities.  He joined CLS in January December 1996 from Crisis, the national homelessness charity, where he was a Senior Manager.  He started with CLS as Operations Director, then Development Director before taking up the post of CEO in November 2002.


Finance Director - Tracey Stakes  BA (Hons)  ACA

Tracey qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in 1990.  After a year in the Training Department of Price Waterhouse's London office Tracy joined the overseas voluntary services, and spent 3 years as a Finance Manager and Lecturer in Tanzania.  Tracy joined CLS in 1997 after her appointment as Finance Director for a charitable housing association


Tracy Paine – RGN MA

Tracy Paine started her career in nursing at North Staffordshire School of Nursing and is a member of the RCN Nurses working with older people group.  Since then she has specialised in gerontology care. 

She joined CLS in 1995 as a Home Manager in one of our residential homes becoming a Practice Development Facilitator within CLS in 1998 where she provided experience and support to staff in 15-20 residential homes and working within the care practice development initiative.

After a period of time she joined Morris Feinmann Home, Didsbury as general manager before rejoining CLS in March 2003 as Operations Director and undertook MSc in Business Management. 

 

THE BOARD

The Board is a voluntary committee made up of 15 experienced and knowledable individuals who oversee the way that CLS is operated, the direction it is taking and how it performs.  See below for a brief overview of the Chair and Vice Chair.

David Hopkins - Chairman

David is a former partner in the firm of Walker Smith-Hay specialising in Employer Liability Law and Matrimonial Law.  He retired in March 2002.  He continues to sit regularly as a Deputy District Judge on the Wales/Chester circuit.  David was appointed as Chairman of CLS in September 2006.

Val Pasley - Vice Chairman

Val started her career in childcare, working with children with severe learning disabilities.  For the past 25 years she has worked in training and development, for Cheshire County Council and more recently as a consultant.  She has worked closely with CLS, advising managers and training and assessing staff for qualifications to enable them to implement NVQ’s and the Learning and Development Programme.  Val was appointed as Vice Chairman in September 2006.
