Activity Co-ordinator
The Activity Co-ordinator is responsible for providing a range of individually agreed therapeutic and stimulating activities to residents which meet their
physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs.
Care Assistant
The Care Assistant provides support to residents according to their individual agreed plan of care, this requires involving the residents in all decision making and encouraging both their participation and feedback with service provision.
Senior Care Assistant
The Senior Care Assistant has a similar role to a care assistant and additionally requires a higher degree of training i.e. providing mentorship and coaching to other members of the care team and
dispensing medications.
Care Team Leader
The Care Team Leaders role is to supervise and coach the care team ensuring the delivery of care services through the duration of the shift. The role requires a visible and competent role model that demonstrates a commitment to the values of person centered care with a good understanding of the needs of older people.
Care Team Leader Assessor
This role is similar to the Care Team Leader position and has the additional responsibility of assessing the care team in National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) in Health & Social Care and working alongside the Home Manager to deliver and meet NVQ targets.
Nurse (RGN)
The Nurse is responsible for managing, supervising
and coaching the care team ensuring the delivery of care services. The role requires a visible and competent role model that demonstrates a commitment to the values of person centered care and a
good nursing practice knowledge in relation to older people.
Domestic Assistant
The Domestic Assistant assists with all aspects of domestic services including catering, laundry and cleaning duties. The role also involves supporting residents with daily living and encouraging residents to participate in service provision.
Domestic Supervisor
The Domestic Supervisor undertakes domestic services and additionally provides supervision and coaching to the domestic assistants and ensures that standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the home are maintained to the appropriate specifications.
Maintenance Assistant
The role of the Maintenance Assistant is to ensure that the
building, equipment and fixtures are maintained in good and safe working order. The role also involves porter duties and grounds maintenance.
Cook
The Cook provides meals and refreshments in accordance with CLS procedures, using skill and a sound knowledge of catering for large numbers. The Cook is responsible for supervising the staff working in the kitchen, ensuring that the highest standards of hygiene are maintained with particular reference to food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
Home Administrator
As part of the Home Management Team the Administrator is responsible for ensuring that domestic and catering services are agreed, delivered and monitored in accordance with CLS standards. The role also requires financial and HR systems to be maintained effectively.
Home Service Manager
The Home Service Manager manages the delivery of domestic and catering services and achieves this by providing effective leadership to the domestic and catering teams. The role also involves the management of financial and HR systems and the delivery of training and induction.
Home Manager
The main responsibilities of this post are t
o fulfil the role of a Registered Manager with 24 hour responsibility for managing all services, resources and finances within the care home. To ensure that all business activities meet and integrate with CLS expectations and standards and by providing motivation, guidance and professional leadership to all team members.
