Awards
CLS has been recognised in a number of recent awards. These include:
The Most Outstanding Care Home Provider 2011
CLS Care Services was named 'Most Outstanding Care Home Provider at the Over 50s Housing Awards 2011.
CLS’ key values impressed the judges. Renown for vibrant and dynamic environments, all CLS homes place strong emphasis on social interaction and activities, encompassing anything from animal visits to fancy dress parties. Continued investment in staff is also something CLS pride itself on. Staff are constantly receiving specialist training and are given the opportunity to develop professionally and personally through work. In addition, eight CLS care homes feature specialist dementia households within the home, which provide advanced support and round the clock care for dementia sufferers.
The Over 50s Housing Awards aim to reward those who lift and enhance customer enjoyment and experience via innovation. The Over 50s Housing Awards are now in their third year, and are run by the Over 50s Weekly News, a leading business journal in the care home and retirement village sector in the UK.
CLS’ Managing Director, Robert Black, comments: “We are absolutely thrilled to be receiving this award. All our staff work extremely hard to ensure the utmost comfort and enjoyment of our residents, and we are honoured that all our hard work and excellent level of care has been recognised by the industry.”

The regional awards are a celebration of excellence in the industry and pay tribute to outstanding companies and individuals in the care sector.

The CLS Group, operator of CLS Care Homes and Belong Villages, made it into the Top 100 in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work in the Public/Third Sector 2011.
The outstanding achievement is a result of the participation of the organisation’s employees in The Sunday Times sponsored survey, designed to rigorously assess workplace engagement. This included evaluation of how employees feel about stress, pressure and salaries within the company, as well as their perceptions of senior members and career development opportunities within the organisation.
Nick Dykes, Chief Executive of the charitable care services organisation, comments: “This is a remarkable achievement for CLS, and a well-earned testament to our dedicated employees across all levels of the company. We are delighted that our employees hold us, as an employer, in such high regard.”
