Communal areas:
There are a number of pleasant lounge areas and dining rooms around the building. One of the lounges is fitted with a hearing loop, a discreet device to improve sound reception and aid those with hearing difficulties. There is also a lovely landscaped garden for residents’ enjoyment and a designated activity room.

Additional services available to residents include a hairdresser who visits weekly, and newspaper and magazine deliveries which are arranged through a local newsagent. These are charged on a weekly basis as used. We have negotiated a low cost taxi service for residents.
Activities:
The Elms enjoys an active social calendar. Activities are arranged by the home’s activities co-ordinator with the involvement of residents, and are designed to match their interests. Activities currently taking place within the home include manicure and foot care, pub trips, daily one-to-one time with residents, bingo, quizzes, ball games, outings, entertainers for special occasions, party nights for residents who want to celebrate events with their families and friends and garden parties in the summer.
Catering:
The home operates the CLS Marvellous Mealtimes initiative, with meals being served in a pleasant and relaxed manner, and a social atmosphere is promoted. Meal times are served in a number of small, intimate dining rooms. The menu is varied and nutritious and we cater for special dietary requirements. There is a wide choice of drinks including wine and sherry.
Worship:
The Elms recognises all denominations and church services are held monthly within the home for those who wish to attend communion.
Amenities:
The Elms is well situated for local amenities. There are a number of shops and a hairdressing salon across the road and we are on a bus route for Crewe. The town is within walking distance and we help residents requiring use of a wheelchair when they wish to go shopping.
