Testimonials

The services we provide have touched many lives over the years. Please see below for some of the comments we have received.

“Mum first came to stay with you for respite care whilst we took a holiday. We were naturally apprehensive, as Mum was such an independent and private person, we were concerned that she would not enjoy her stay. What a surprise we had when we came home from that holiday! We discovered that she had enjoyed such a wonderful experience with you, that after only a few days back in her own home, she was so missing her time with you all that she asked to go back to stay with you on a permanent basis. The reasons for her decision soon became apparent to us, as day by day and week by week, we watched her blossom in your care, and her old happy personality emerged again, you gave us back our Mum and Grandma”.

“Over a number of years my mum had become isolated, not wanting to mix, go out of the house for social or shopping trips and had lost interest in clothes etc. Since her stay at Florence Grogan House, she has been out shopping, joined in social activities (although sometimes reluctantly at first) and will wear different outfits. The staff have been excellent – patient and kind, especially J., her main carer, she has worked wonders”.

“The care my mother receives physically and emotionally is very good. She is respected and treated as a person with rights, desires and choices while her physical needs are attended to. The staff need good senses of humour and compassion both of which they have. Nothing seems too much trouble for them.
Please continue with the ethos of this unit as it continues to admirably meet the needs of the residents. If you need a model for Dementia care this must be it. I remain a very contented relative knowing how well my mother is cared for by CLS”.

“Mum had lived with us for 9 months after which we had to make the distressing decision to move her to a nursing home as it was getting difficult to attend to her at home.
“Although she admitted how well she was looked after at Thorley House it seemed she would never settle. Now, after 3 months she seems to have found a new lease of life and I personally feel it is due to the excellent care she is receiving”.

“This was a new experience for the family. Mother had lived in Nantwich all her life and the move to a new location in a new environment made us very apprehensive. How wrong we were. The skill, kindness, care and shrewd discipline imposed by the staff gained her confidence and she took on a new lease of life. She was encouraged to take on certain tasks and she became ‘Head Gardener’. Much to our surprise she enjoyed various trips out and visits to the theatre. In fact she was enjoying life more than she had done for many years”.

“I came as a resident to Wealstone on 13th August 2005 and am grateful to be here. Without exception I am deeply indebted to each of the staff. The willing, cheerful care we are all receiving is beyond reproach. No one could wish for better”.

“We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the care and affection you have given to our mum, you have helped her dream come true and return to her own home, which means the world to her, for this we will be always grateful. Bless you all”.

“First of all let me say how happy my father is in Greenacres. He was terrified of leaving his own home, but now, on a daily basis, he tells us how happy he is”.

“I have visited a number of care homes in this area over the last few years, but none have come up to the standard of Leycester House, which I think is exceptional. Everything about the place is so welcoming and pleasant – the furnishing is lovely and the food excellent”.
E. B., Altrincham

“Thank you for everything you have done. Thank you for being a hand to hold. Thank you for being there for us in good times and bad. Thank you for the laughter. Thank you for being friends. Thank you for helping us along a road we were unsure of. Thank you for your time.
