Background

CLS Care Services was established in1991 to provide high quality professional care for older people who are no longer able to cope on their own. It set out to provide services that are accessible to as broad a range of customers as possible, without compromising on quality.

The organisation was born out of local authority provision, and set up as an independent, not-for-profit organisation to manage care homes for older people. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and have an absolute commitment to providing high quality care. All surpluses are ploughed back into improving care, not into dividend payments to shareholders.

CLS Care Services comprises CLS Care Services (Cheshire and Warrington) and Borough Care Services (Wigan). CLS Care Services is an Industrial and Provident Society (No. IP27346R), a company limited by guarantee with charitable status. Borough Care Services is a registered charity (Charity No. 1007002). We are not part of the private or commercial sector.

CLS Care Services is administered by a governing body who bring a wide range of skills and experience from a variety of backgrounds. This board consists of a voluntary committee.
